Clinton continues to improve Bundy’s groundwork, teaching the stallion Fundamentals exercises such as Circle Driving and Lunging for Respect. He also works on practical training situations to prepare Bundy for life as a domesticated horse such as desensitizing the brumby’s legs to prepare him for having his feet handled by the farrier and gives the stallion his first bath. During the episode, Clinton learns about “bush tucker” and traditional Outback cuisine.

As Clinton has been training Bundy, he's noticed Anselem, a young Aboriginal stockman, watching him and trying to apply the same techniques to a brumby he's working with. Although Anselem is making good progress with his brumby, Clinton can tell he's getting frustrated and decides to offer his help. Clinton focuses on preparing Bundy for his first saddling by introducing him to pressure around his girth and desensitizing him to the saddle pad and saddle. The first saddling goes smoothly, and within a couple of training sessions, Clinton is able to ride Bundy for the first time. Professional Clinician Brittany Huff acts as Clinton's assistant during Bundy's first ride to ensure the experience is as stress-free as possible for the stallion. Clinton explains the importance of having an experienced helper for a colt's first ride and the goals he likes to accomplish during the training session.
